Nikolov: On the average temperature of airless spherical bodies and the magnitude of Earth’s atmospheric thermal effect | SpringerPlus | Full Text (springeropen.com) "While the average outgoing LW flux of a planet is an observable physical parameter, Te derived from it using Eq. (3) is a mathematical abstraction with no physical analogue at, below or above the surface. Thus, planetary effective emission temperatures are not compatible with measured ph ysical temperatures regardless of the albedo they are based on. In other words, Te is a non-physical quantity with respect to a sphere. Consequently, comparing Earth’s observed global mean surface air temperature (287.6 K) to any Te is bound to produce numerically and theoretically misleading results. The conceptual distinction between Te on one hand and Tna or Ts on the other arises from the mathematical understanding that mean planetary temperatures cannot in principle be inferred from globally averaged radiative fluxes. In this regard,

Earth’s surface has a huge thermal inertia.
Global warming happens rapidly because in our times the Winter Solstices occur very close to the time of the Earth’s Perihelion. The Rotational Warming Phenomenon (RWPh) doesn't cause the Global Warming. What (RWPh) does is to explain the temperatures differencies, when planets are subjected to the same solar flux. The Rotational Warming Phenomenon (RWPh) is about the planets' ability to retain more heat when their (N*cp) product is higher - example Earth 288K and Moon 220K. Earth’s surface has a huge thermal inertia. And, the S-B formula is not applicable backwards either. It is about the emission (the heat into EM energy spontaneous transformation) and not about the EM energy absorption. The solar EM energy incident on the planet only a small portion is transformed into heat and absorbed as heat in inner layers. Also, at low (terrestrial) temperatures the Stefan-Boltzmann emission law is not applicable (doesn’t work). The planetary surface emits IR EM energy at much lower intensitie

Has anyone ever experienced a surface at 15°C emitting 390 W/m² ???
Opponent: “How about a planet covered mostly in water, where much of the incoming SWR penetrates meters deep before it is absorbed and turned into heat.” – Answer: I need to notice that Earth’s surface doesn’t emit at its average surface temperature 288K, because it is not a temperature per ce. Objects do not emit at their average surface temperatures, they emit from every separate point at every points’ the exact at the instant of emission temperature. Also, the S-B emission law mistakenly asserts a surface at 288K (15°C) should emit 390 W/m². Has anyone ever experienced a surface at 15°C emitting 390 W/m² ??? It is a very hot emission, isn’t it? Now imagine the entire globe emitting 390 W/m² ??? – best

The Stefan-Boltzmann Constant Is In Error
Haven't you read the Gary Novak’s site yet? Link: https://nov79.com/stf.html "The Stefan-Boltzmann Constant Is In Error W/m² = 5.67 x 10-8 x K4 Based on the erroneous Stefan-Boltzmann constant (SBC), a house could be heated by covering the floor with ice. The SBC says 315 watts per square meter of radiation are given off by matter at 0°C (32°F). The emissivity for ice is 0.92. So 0.92 x 315 = 299 w/m². For a room that is 15 feet by 30 feet, the area can be rounded to 50 square meters. So 50 x 299 = 14,950 watts of radiation being emitted. That's equivalent to 8.3 space heaters at high level of 1,800 watts. That means ice on the floor of such a room would fry the place in minutes, as if 8.3 space heaters were going."

For the lower than 1500 K temperatures, the Stefan-Boltzmann emission Law doesn't work.
For the lower than 1500 K temperatures, the Stefan-Boltzmann emission Law doesn't work. Links: Stefan–Boltzmann law - Wikipedia Stefan Boltzmann 001 - Stefan–Boltzmann law - Wikipedia The Graph Total emitted energy, , of a black body as a function of its temperature, . The upper (black) curve depicts the Stefan–Boltzmann law, . The lower (blue) curve is total energy according to the Wien approximation, Now, when looking in the Graph, it is obvious, that the Stefan-Boltzmann emission Law - in the real world - starts from the higher temperature of about ~ 1500 K. For the lower than that temperatures, the Stefan-Boltzmann emission Law simply doesn't work. And it doesn't work, because the matter at the lower than about ~1500 K temperatures doesn't posses the required by the Stefan-Boltzmann emission Law, doesn't posses the energy needed to be able emitting as the S-B law at higher temperatures discovers happening! Thus, the commonly acccepted assertion, that S-B emission law formula is va
